PLC Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement PLC programs for automation and material handling systems.

• Test, debug, and troubleshoot systems for smooth operation.

• Collaborate with engineers to optimize system performance.

• Modify and enhance existing PLC programs.

• Provide on-site and remote system support.

• Maintain system documentation and backups.

• Ensure safety standards and industry regulations compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.

• Proficient in ladder logic, structured text, and function block programming.

• Robotics, motion control, and conveyor systems experience is a plus.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Technical Expertise

• Honeywell Intelligrated automation & material handling systems- Expert

• PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)- Expert

• HMI/SCADA configuration and maintenance- Advanced

• Electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams (AutoCAD Electrical) – Advanced

Control Systems & Integration

• Industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.) - Advanced

• Power distribution, motor controls, and VFDs- Advanced

• System integration, testing, and commissioning- Advanced

Problem-Solving & troubleshooting

• Diagnostics, maintenance, and downtime minimization- Expert

Industry Standards & Compliance

• Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), UL standards, safety regulations- Intermediate

Preferred Skills

• Robotics & vision systems, WES/WCS knowledge, project management- Intermediate

ADVANCED CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH ESSENTIAL (Will be evaluated).

Job type: Remote.

Work location: Mexico city or Chihuahua.

Duration: 1 year Contract (possibility to be extended).
